Samsung Further Dominate Heathrow Airport

Samsung Further Dominate Heathrow Airport

To support the launch of the new Samsung LED TVs, Samsung have further increased their investment at Heathrow by buying 2 new sites in Terminal 4. They have also bought a site to support their camera division. They will now dominate arrivals with 2 bulkhead lightboxes that target all departing passengers, and a new lightbox alongside the ‘welcome’ message above security.  Bought on an annual basis, we are also looking to upgrade these sites with new technology.

These new TVs are at the forefront of LED technology, offering better quality images and improved energy efficiency.  Retailing on average at £1,000 per unit, the airport is the ideal environment to target affluent passengers with high purchasing power.

The launch ties in with the brand’s national carrier, KAL, moving from Terminal 3 into terminal 4.  T4 has become the new Sky Team terminal, having undergone a £100m facelift.  The bulky information screens have been replaced by sleek flat screen LCDs (also made by Samsung), and the whole front of the terminal has been opened up to let in more light and create an atmosphere akin to Terminal 3 & 5.
